barcelona mandala bag with quliting

The center of this bag is a kalaidescope. This bag uses Jinny Beyer's barcelona line to create a jewel like mandala in midnight blues, deep amythest, and emerald greens. The rich colors and patterns in this fabric evoke the renaissance style. The outer borders use coordinating colors from the same fabric line and an edge from the barcelona fabric that has a stained glass feel. This is one of my all time favorite fabrics and is no longer available.This bag is quilted on the front with mountain mist batting to give depth and texture. The front is muslin lined. The back and handles are barcelona, all french seams for durability. quite large, 18 X 20 The handles are long enough to carry it on your shoulder. It is very strong even with a heavy load. This is a really high quality, incredibly soft fabric. I really debated about selling it as a second but it is not perfectly square as you can see from the picture. It is the only quilted bag I have made so far and it feels so cozy.
