Rust Jungle

Rust jungle one of a kind There are 12 blocks in this small quilt. The friendly looking animals include a purple dinasaur with a baseball cap, blue hippos and elephants and giraffes, monkeys and a koala. These are bordered in assorted fossil fern fabrics by Benartex to enhance each individual center. Colors chosen include parrot green, butternut, earth browns and winter sunset. The first border and windowpane background is rust “prints de soleil” by Hoffman. There is an outer border of “ feather and song” by Maggie Walker for Timeless treasures fabrics. There is feather stitching in the butternut outer edge to unify the deeper earth tones in the center. This is heavily quilted especially around the border squares to create a soft puff with each jungle animal. Backing is 200 count white muslin by Moda This is one of a kind as there was very little fabric in this design and it is no longer available. It is difficult to find jungle animals that are not scary and these are quite friendly. suitable for a wall hanging as well as a quilt 30" x 37"
