Hot Pink Cats

one of a kind hot pink cats/new leaf green playhouses This quilt has a modified ‘around the world’ pattern layout creating concentric diamonds of green/purple/pink/green. There are 49 squares with 7 varied and repeated borders. The pink squares use a bubblegum pink fabric with butterflies and nosegay flowers by Sara Engelbright as the center. There is coordinating gingham, star fabric and the outer border is hot pink tokoyo flannel by Red Rooster. The candy pink cats and playhouses have spring leaf green backgrounds and little birds, flying whales and chicks, and weather vanes sprinkled about. This fabric is “krazy kats and mary lou too” by Mary Lou Too fabrics. These borders are varied and include fossil fern (benartex) grass green and bali batik flannel marble. The outer edging layers repeat the “around the world” circles of purple and green and use bright pink with pastel drops pink flannel (Tokoyo line for red Rooster) for soft snuggling. This quilt is especially heavily quilted using the stitch in the ditch pattern for repeated washing and to create 49 puffs. The quilt is backed with whie 200 count muslin by Moda one available as these fabrics are now gone 48" x 48"
