This quilt is for my youngest sister Wendy. I used the front of several of her favorite t shirts as the center panels and designed the entire quilt from there. The colors and fabrics are intense but that was how I felt when I was making it. She was killed at 41. I was the oldest of 6 kids and she was the youngest, there were 14 years between us and we had a really special bond, which was especially strong as we were older. The rich and vibrant colors reflect her spirit for me. I have this hanging in the center of my house.
