This series of bags have a kalaidescope center. These mandala bags uses the Hoffman Challenge 2004 fabric in the butterfly design to create the one of a kind pattern. These are made by repeating one "cut" or "repeat" in the pattern in 6 triangles and the sewing it in a circle like a pie. You never know how the design will come out and what you will end up creating ! I blended each center with borders that complement the piece. Some are backed with Paula Nadelsterns shibori fabric. This super soft fabric uses a unique dying process which creates multi tonal shades in a crinkle pattern. It is no longer available. Others are backed in batiks.
Backing matches outer border.
The front panels are backed with muslin so no raw edges from the pieced cover are exposed.
These are definitely one of a kind art bags 15" X 15"
