The renaissance angel in this bag is from Peggy Toole's line "Florentine" for Robert Kaufman. The mandolin playing angel in jewel tones has gilding throughout and is wonderful. This unusual fabric is no longer available. The elliptical reverse applique is set in a window of mulberry flannel. The next border is an orchid fossil fern fabric by benartex. There is a row of feather stitching in this border. The backing is this same flannel. The outer border repeats the flannel. The straps are 2 fabrics. One side is flannel, the other is a topstsich inset of the orchid to complement the pattern.
